August 2012 - Cycle Themed Entertainment

With the success of Britain's Bradley Wiggins in the Tour de France and The Olympics, and excitement over the forthcoming Tour of Britain cycle race, there's never been a better time to use cycling themed entertainment. We now have a web page devoted to this, aimed at anyone organising a cycle race, cycling festival or sustainable transport event, including, among other things, contenders for the world's smallest bike and world's largest tricycle, a number of comedy bikes, a panda riding a tricycle, and a host of other wacky ideas. See here.

April 2012: Our team building team organised an abseiling event on a 15 storey tower block on The Larner Road Estate in Erith, Kent. Over the course of the day- Friday the 13th April- chosen with no regard for superstitions- a group which included residents, staff, architects and journalists descended the 47 metre tower. Our team of abseiling facilitators are more familiar with working at venues such as Amberley Castle (see here) but are happy to work wherever the activity can be undertaken safely. Pictured below making her descent is Caroline Field, regeneration project manager for Orbit Homes. For more pictures of the Erith event, please click on the image.

March 2012: We now have our new background music roster available on the web site. This adds to the band roster, added last month, which has been very well received. Both of these rosters aim to give clients the ability to pre-select a number of musical groups before speaking with us or emailing. Of course, we are still delighted to give advice on the phone and by email- that's what we're here for!

January 2012:

2012 brings us a number of major events, including The Queen's Diamond Jubilee and The London 2012 Olympics. Many of our artists have been busy developing acts to fit these themes:

The Queen's Diamond Jubilee will be a major event for children and adults alike. We are pleased to offer a jubilee children's show, hosted by John Bull and featuring a children's TV celebrity.

Please contact us for more details.

Many of our craft workshop facilitators also have the jubilee in mind. One idea for an activity is a commemorative collage, which is made as a collaborative effort over a period of a few days:

For Jubilee street parties, our comedy tea ladies act is ideal:

The London 2012 Olympics will dominate the summer months and many of our physical skills artistes have developed themed acts. For the children, our Circus Skills Olympics will be touring Shopping Centres and Town Centres over the summer- call us for more details.

Visual spectacles planned for the year include an Olympic themed acrobatic show:

Superhero theme: Also during 2012 there are several major films due for release which we think may merit themed events:

In April the new Avengers film is due to be launched. This features a number of superhero characters including Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk and Captain America. July sees the premiere of the new Batman film, The Dark Knight Rises. Some of our leading character actors and stunt performers are available with characters which pay tribute to some of these superhero characters. Please call or email for more details.

Featured Act- Meet The Dinosaur

This brand new and visually stunning show is suitable for people of all ages. The amazingly realistic stegosaurus is controlled from within by a concealed performer. A combination of live sound, facial animatronics and extreme puppetry bring the dinosaur to life. The dinosaur is accompanied by our resident palaeontologist who presents a lively and informative natural history show. Audiences are encouraged to ‘get tactile’ with the dinosaur and to have a go at being palaeontologists themselves.
